What’s the difference between the RAV4 and RAV4 Hybrid in terms of pricing? The standard gas-powered Toyota RAV4 has the lowest starting MSRP at $26,975 MSRP, while the RAV4 Hybrid is a little higher to start at $29,575 MSRP. The Toyota RAV4 Prime has the highest starting price at $40,300 MSRP, but its plug-in hybrid design also offers the ability to run on pure electricity. See how the three compare below:
The standard RAV4 combines impressive power with efficiency, along with the ease of a traditional engine. But, how do the RAV4 Hybrid or RAV4 Prime compare in terms of green technology? The RAV4 Hybrid offers the convenience of a gas-powered model with the boosted fuel economy of an electric model, while the RAV4 Prime offers sky-high fuel efficiency and a pure-electric range – which the other options do not have.
Finally, what about output? All three options run on variations of the 2.5L 4-cylinder engine, but their total power is different. The RAV4 offers robust power for the Mount Laurel roads, but the RAV4 Hybrid and RAV4 Prime use a net horsepower from their dual-powertrain configurations. In fact, the RAV4 Prime boasts a 0 to 60 mph time of just 5.7 seconds!
